Moyes Statue
We're always looking for ways to make mischief for Paddy Power.
Cast your mind back to April 2014. David Moyes was toiling miserably as Manchester United’s manager. Meanwhile, arch-rivals Liverpool seemed poised to benefit from his slip-ups, and win their first title for 24 years. So for a bit of Paddy Power mischief, we created a statue of the Old Trafford boss and erected at Anfield (“for services to Liverpool Football Club”).
The move was a social media phenomenon, with Liverpool fans queuing for photos all day. (Until their own slip-ups later gifted the title to Manchester City…)
